This component of design refers to the surface of the step and how it integrates into the flooring.
TREAD COVERS
Tread covers are the walking surface applied to a lumber framed 'traditional' stair structure
NOSING
Nosing is the flooring component which is installed at balcony edges and stair openings as a 'landing tread' or as a design detail at a balcony edge.
BLOCK TREADS
Block treads are used on open riser stairs and are usually intended to be seen from 4 sides on side stringer designs and all 6 sides on under stringer designs.
WOOD FINISH COORDINATION
We work with flooring suppliers, installers and wood finishers to get the right 'finish' on your tread surface that either compliments or matches your flooring
